Delete Your SetApp Account

You can ask us to permanently delete your SetApp account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This applies to both user and host accounts.

1. How to Delete Your Account

In the App

Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account

Using the Form

If you can't access the app, submit the form below. We'll verify the request is from you before deleting anything.

2. Deletion Request Form

Use the email address or phone number registered to your SetApp account so we can find it.

Your request goes to privacy@setapp.in. We use these details only to find and verify your account.

3. What Happens After You Request Deletion

  • Within 48 hours

    We verify your request and confirm by email.

  • Within 24 hours of verification

    Your profile is hidden and can no longer be booked or contacted.

  • 14-day cancellation period

    If you change your mind, email support@setapp.in to restore your account.

  • Within 30 days

    Your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups.

4. Before You Delete

  • Unused Session Credits: If you have unused credits, contact support@setapp.in before deleting. Credits can't be restored once deletion is final.
  • For Hosts: Complete or cancel any scheduled sessions and make sure pending payouts are settled before submitting your request.
  • For Parents / Guardians: If requesting deletion for a child's account (aged 16–17), select the Parent/Guardian option in the form below and provide your child's registered email or phone number, or email privacy@setapp.in directly from your registered parent email.

5. What We Delete

Account Information

Name, email address, phone number, and login details.

Profile Information

Display name, photo, bio, and wellbeing preferences.

Session History

Text chats, session records, ratings, and feedback you've given.

Host Information (for hosts)

Host profile, availability, verification documents, and credential records.

Parental Consent Records

Parent contact info and verification records (for users aged 16–17).

6. What We Keep, and Why

  • Payment and Invoice Records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law, including host payout records.
  • Safety and Moderation Records: Retained in encrypted, non-readable form for up to 3 years, only to prevent banned accounts from rejoining.
  • Legally Required Information: Data subject to an active legal request is kept until that obligation ends.

7. About Your Sessions

Voice and video sessions on SetApp are not recorded, so there are no call recordings to delete. Text chats and session records are removed as part of your account deletion.

Hosts must keep everything shared during sessions confidential, including after your account is deleted.
